This is Miss Nita's room! Miss Nita teaches reading to all of groups. Miss Nita uses a story telling method of presenting the letters to the preschool. She teaches a phonics based program of sound and sense called phonemes. She teaches the Kindergarteners how to read.
Miss Amy teachers word power and handwriting. She teaches word power through an active and responsive program of words and meanings and she adds a memory skill. Children not only learn new words, they use them. And they learn to write them neatly and correctly.
Mr. Denny teaches an Arithmetic program that includes counting, writing numbers, number patterns, number sense, and the geography of building. He also teaches Science, and Health-Safety. He is a licensed teacher, a fireman, and an EMT.
Miss Judy teaches French. The children take delight in counting in French and understanding colors, foods, animals, and some short expressions.
Miss Judy also teaches geography from a world character point of view. Who was Columbus, and where did he grow up, what did he do and where did he do it?
Miss Amy teaches choral and instrumental music. Children learn how to sing in a group, and play percussion instruments. They sing a wide variety of songs and listen to a wide variety of music from past and present.
Mrs. St. Louis teaches Bible Stories. All well rounded children should know Bible Stories, and Mrs. St. Louis teaches those stories in a fun format of listening and responding. The children love her stories.
